How to Resize VHD Image Files

Vhd Resizer (formerly VhdExpand ) is a freeware that could resize VHD image files. It You copy data sector by sector.

1. You can download Vhd Resizer from BrotherSoft or vmToolkit VhdResize. Vhd Resizer requires the Microsoft .Net 2.0 framework, so you shoud download and install .NET Framework Version 2.0 firstly.
2. Run Vhd Resizer and select virtual hard drive to resize. Click Open button to opet it.
   
3. Click on "save as" button to specify a destination folder to save the resized VHD file. Then input "New Size" for the VHD image. Please note that the "New Size" should between the Min and Max size.
   
4. Click  button to start resizing VHD image. You could see the shrinking process of VHD.
    

VHD Resizer will also convert between Fixed and Dynamic file types of VHD image.
