How to Remount Ejected or Removed USB Devices Without Reinsert
Problem
I'm using Windows XP for a long time, and I often use many USB drives. Sometimes I ejected some of them by mistake, so I have to remove and insert the drive again, it's so troublesome... I want to know how to Remount Ejected or Removed USB Devices Without Reinsert.
Solution
- Right click "My Computer" and select "Manage".
- Switch to "Device Manager" in the left pane.
- Click "View" from the menu bar, and then select "Devices by Connection".
- Find the USB device marked yellow color exclamation in "USB Root Hub" branch.
- Right click it, select "Disable", and again, "Enable".
- Now you have Remounted Ejected or Removed USB Devices Without Reinsert.
Tips
For Windows Vista and Windows 7, the steps are the same, a little difference is, you just need to right click "Computer" icon and select "Manage".
