How to Make gold text effect in Photoshop

Problem

In this tutorial, I'll teach you to create a gold text. This effect shows the ancient gold, it contains some impurities. The overall effect looks like full of history and sadness. Now, follow me to create it!

Solution

First, start Photoshop and create a canvas with Black.
Use Tool to type text.
Here is the Recipester's logo, we only use the book icon.
Copy the book icon to a new layer and then click Edit > Define Brush Preset to define a brush.
Enter the name of brush.
Create a new layer for the brush.
Use Tool to draw this brush.
Hold down Ctrl to select these two layers.
Press Ctrl+E to merge them.
You need define two patterns. Open this pattern and click Edit > Define Pattern.
Enter the name of new pattern.
Define this texture to pattern as previous steps.
Right-click the merged layer and select Blending Options item.
