How to Lock Windows 7 with Bluetooth Enabled Mobile Devices

Problem

I often forget to lock my terminals because of laziness, so I want to lock my Windows remotely with Bluetooth enabled mobile device, but the problem is how to do that. I hope someone can help me.

Solution

  1. Download Btprox aka Bluetooth Proximity Lock.
    Download Btprox aka Bluetooth Proximity Lock
  2. Double click to install it.
    Double click to install it.
  3. Click "..." button to choose the used device.
    Click "..." button to choose the used device.
  4. You can specify lock and release commands if needed.
    Specify commands on device connection and disconnection.
  5. Click "Start" button to run the auto lock.
    Click "Start" button to run the commands.
  6. Now you can lock windows 7 with Bluetooth enabled mobile devices.

Tips

If you want to lock Lock Windows workstation using bluetooth device under Windows XP, you have to install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 before installing BtProx.
