How to Import Firefox Bookmarks to Opera

Problem

If you change your web browser from the Firefox to the Opera, you may want to open the bookmarks you used to visit frequently. Can you import the stored bookmarks from the Firefox web browser to the bookmarks section of Opera in a quick and easy way? Please see the solution.

Solution

  1. Run Opera and click File in the Opera menu  on the top of the browser window. When the drop-down menu appears, choose the option Import and export - Import Netscape/Firefox Bookmarks.

  2. An Explorer window appears. Choose your Firefox bookmarks file in Firefox's profile folder. And open the page called bookmarks.html

  3. A confirmation message appears saying how many bookmark entries were imported from Firefox to Opera. Click on the OK button.

  4. Now you've imported Firefox bookmarks to Opera. See the effects as follow.

Tips

This feature exists only in Opera 9 and above. If you are using versions under 9, you can't find the feature.
