How to Fade Audio

Problem

After adding music to your videos, we can also edit the audio and add some other effects. To combine the video and audio more naturally, we can fade audio--to fade in or out audio according to your needs.

Solution

With Camtasia Studio 5, you can easily fade audio. Here we take fade out audio for example.

Open the video or recording you want to edit.
Click on the lock icon to lock the audio tracks you don't want to adjust.
In the timeline, use the seek bar to highlight the section you want to fade out.
Click on the fade out icon .
The speed of the fade depends on the size of the selection. So you can repeat several times to get the best effect.

Use the same operation to fade in audio.

Tips

If there is more than one audio track on the Timeline, when a selection is made on the Timeline, all of the audio tracks will be affected by the fade in and out properties that are applied.
