How to Create screw driver model in 3DS MAX

Problem

In this tutorial, I'll teach you to create a screw driver model. You can use it to tighten screws and some other things, it is very useful. I hope it will help you! Now, give it a try!

Solution

  1. First, launch 3ds MAX 2009.
  2. Click Image:00000000001.png > Image:00000000003.png > Splines > NGon to draw a NGON.

  3. In Image:00000000002.png panel, please select the Extrude item.

  4. Set the extrude parameters as below.

  5. Select the NGON and right-click it, choose Convert to Editable Poly item.

  6. Click Image:000xxx.png button and select this polygon.

  7. Click Image:6666.png the button of Extrude and set the parameters as below.

  8. Click Image:6666.png the button of Bevel and set the parameters as below.

  9. Then, bevel and extrude the polygon as below.

  10. Now, please select these polygons.

  11. Click the Image:6666.png button of Inset and set the parameters as below.

  12. Please bevel the polygon again.

  13. In panel, please select the TurboSmooth item.

  14. Set the TurboSmooth parameters as below.

  15. Click Image:00000000001.png > Image:00000000003.png > Standard Primitives > Cylinder to draw a thin cylinder.

  16. Select the thin cylinder and right-click it, choose Convert to Editable Spline item.

  17. Click Image:888.png button and select these points and use Image:00000000006.png Tool to adjust them as below.

  18. Now, adjust others Image:00000000005.png points as below.
