How to Create Woven Image in Photoshop

Problem

I have just began to study Photoshop. Now I have a photo and now I want to create Woven Image of the photo, but I don't know how to create Woven Image. Any help is appreciated.

Solution

In Photoshop CS4, open a photo.
Press ctrl+R to open the Rulers and drag Guides as bellow.
Press ctrl+J to copy the photo layer and set the background color to black color. Hide the copy layer. Return to the photo layer and create a group of horizontal selection as bellow. When create the second selection, you should press shift key.
Press ctrl+shift+I to reverse the selection and add layer mask by clicking Add Layer Mask button.
Unhide the copy layer and by the same method we can make a group of vertical selection as bellow.
Return to photo layer, press ctrl and click the area masked by red color.
Then press ctrl+shift+alt and click the area masked by red color at the same time.
Press the alt key and then delete some selection regularly as bellow. Then press ctrl+J to make a copy layer1.
Return to the copy photo layer, by the same time we make another copy layer2.
Return to copy layer 1, double click the layer and the Layer Style dialog is displayed. Select Outer Glow and set the parameters of structure rollout as below.
Press ctrl+alt+G to make a group as bellow.
Return to the copy layer2 and copy the layer style of the copy layer1. Press ctrl+alt+G to make a group and you can see the result of creating Woven Image.
