How to Convert MOD to MOV with Freeware

Problem

I recently got a JVC Evario or whatever it's called and it makes MOD files. Well, I can't just change the extention, and I can't edit it in this format, as windows movie maker does not recognize it. I'd like the files in the MOV format. But how can I do that? Thanks in advance.

Solution

Download Format Factory and install it on your computer.
Launch Format Factory after installation.
Drag your MOD file into Format Factory.

A new window pops up. Choose "All to MOV" and click "OK".

You may notice that your file is listed in the window when it's done.

Right-click on the file listed in the Format Factory and select "Output Setting".

If you have some special requests, change related items as you want. If not, leave them default. Click "OK".

Click "Start" below the menu bar.

Now Format Factory is converting your file.

When it's completed, right-click on the file listed in the Format Factory and select "Open Output Folder".

You can also customize the output folder. Press "F2" when Format Factory is in active. Click "Save As" and select your desired folder. Then click "OK".

You may find your MOV file in the output folder.
